The Renegade is Jeep's entry to the compact crossover market. With its high ground clearance, tough design and macho cladding (not to mention that iconic seven-slot grille) the Renegade certainly stands out from the eurotrash of the modern-day car park. The interior has a proper utilitarian feel about it with some nice novelty touches such as tyre marks on the floor mats. There is plenty of head and knee room for passengers in the rear with ISOfix anchors and enough room for three children in the rear. The Renegade shares many of its components with the Fiat 500X and like the little Italian car it is surprisingly enjoyable on the road, staying nicely planted around corners. The most popular engine is the 1.6 litre multijet diesel which has plenty of power for commuting or at motorway speeds.
