The Niro is Kia's latest SUV crossover in the mould of the Sportage, using state of the art Kia hybrid technology. The interior is typically Kia in that it is sleek, modern and well-built. It is practical too with plenty of head and leg room for passengers in both the front and the rear, capable of accommodating five adults. With 427 litres of space, although not cavernous, the boot is extremely commodious and can be further expanded using the easily foldable split rear seats. Standard equipment is generous and includes full leather upholstery, heated seats, automatic wipers and a heated steering wheel. The automatic gearbox that is paired with the hybrid technology is seamless and well mated to the 1.6 litre engine. The cabin is quiet and refined whether operating at low speed using hybrid only or at higher speeds when the petrol engine kicks in.
