The Mercedes-Benz GLA Class is much more than just a bigger version of the A Class. It is all-wheel-drive to begin with and is a particularly stylish looking vehicle. It is practical too, with forty percent more boot space than in the A Class and this can be further increased by folding the split rear seats. There is plenty of head and leg room for occupants. The interior overall is quite sporty but ergonomically excellent. Although based on the A Class, the GLA is a far more enjoyable drive thanks largely to the higher suspension. There is a choice of petrol and diesel engines with the 2.0 litre petrol capable of 0 - 100 kilometres per hour in 6.6 seconds, not bad for quite a large car. The entry level 200d diesel engine will suit most peoples needs and is well specced with either four-wheel-drive or two-wheel-drive available.
