Opel Corsa 2020 - Present
Summary
The all new Opel Corsa is based quite heavily on the Peugeot 208 and it is quite easy to see the resemblance from most angles, which is no bad thing. They both offer similar levels of practicality with the Corsas boot measuring in at 309 litres, increasing to 1015 litres with the rear seats folded down. There is a great driving position thanks to the multiple levels of adjustment available in the drivers seat and generally ample room up front. There is a decent level of standard equipment that includes touchscreen infotainment system, cruise control, USB connectivity and numerous safety features including lane departure warning and emergency breaking. You have a choice of either a 1.2 litre petrol or 1.5 litre diesel engine variants although a full electric version will hit the Irish market in due course. The light steering and eager throttle response make for an enjoyable drive whether in town or country.
Pros
- Practical styling
- Lots of storage spaces, cubby-holes and USB ports
- Decent level of standard equipment
- Excellent interior space
- High load capacity
Cons
- Possibly not as good value as its cousin the 208
