Summary
The Captur has been described as being little more than a larger Clio by some reviewers but is that doing the car a disservice? It does have an increased ride height and is slightly longer than the Clio which means more room inside. There is a decent sized boot that can be further extended by folding the split rear seats which tilt and recline at the behest of the occupants. There is a great driving position thanks to the multiple levels of adjustment in the drivers seat and steering wheel. There is a good level of standard equipment that includes electric windows, cruise control and hill start assist. The increased ride height gives the Captur a commanding view of the road that is further aided by the light pedals and slick gearbox. There is a choice of two petrol engines and one diesel variant and all offer a decent blend of performance and economy.
