Skoda Rapid 2012 - 2019
Summary
The 'Rapid' name has a long history in Skoda, stretching as far back as 1935. This model was bang up to date though when it first graced showrooms back in 2012 and found favour with a lot of Irish buyers. The boot is the biggest in its class and there is acres of head and leg room in the rear. It was an affordable car when new but still delivered a lot of spec with electric windows and MP3 compatible stereo as standard. Most Irish buyers plumped for the 1.6 diesel engine variant for its mix of performance and economy, managing almost 65 miles per gallon. The is also a frugal 1.2 litre petrol engine to keep your options open. It drives well, smothering uneven Irish road surfaces with aplomb.
