More Information
Toyota C-HR 2016 - Present
Summary
The C-HR broke the mould for Toyota, its funky design shattering the fuddy-duddy image traditionally associated with the Japanese car giant. The interior feels generally well screwed together and comprised of high-quality materials with the eight-inch touchscreen infotainment screen a particular high point. It comes with a rake of standard equipment that includes the aforementioned infotainment screen, a reversing camera and cruise control. There is plenty of room on board, although space is confined in the back there is still enough room for two adults with head and leg room to spare. Boot space is decent, coming in about in par with what you would find in a VW Golf. Steering is light and agile, allowing you to take corners with confidence. The hybrid engine uses the same powertrain as the Prius and comes highly recommended, returning a claimed figure of 74 miles per gallon. The 1.2 petrol is equally smooth and responsive though, delivering a 0-100 kmph time of just over 11 seconds.
