The Corolla has always been a popular choice with Irish drivers, rarely straying from the top ten Irish car sales of any given year. There were vast improvements in this model of Corolla, particularly in the interior which feels far more upmarket. There is plenty of space on board for occupants particularly in the rear where you can fit three with relative ease. There is a decent level of standard equipment that includes electric windows, power steering, central locking and ABS. You have a choice of either a 1.3 petrol or a 1.4 diesel engine with the latter variant finding particular favour with Irish buyers, although both offer good fuel economy and reasonable power for overtaking.
