VW Tiguan 2016 - Present
Summary
Although the previous model of Tiguan was hardly unsuccessful, it never quite reached the heights that VW envisaged for it. This generation had meaner, more aggressive styling that helped it to stand out from the crowd and was longer and wider than before, meaning more space on board for back-seat passengers. With 530 litres of space, the boot is veritably gargantuan, is the largest in its class and can even be expanded by utilising the clever sliding rear seats. The interior is full of high-quality soft-touch materials that give it a real premium feel. The eight-inch colour touchscreen can be paired with your smartphone to play music and media and can be equipped with Apple Carplay or Android Auto. The new chassis makes the Tiguan more refined and car-like to drive than before while remaining quiet, comfortable and composed around corners. The 2.0 TDI found particular favour with Irish buyers and is available in 150 or 190bhp.
